A little man with just a few years under his belt in biblical studies is a far cry from a Theologan.
ReplyDeleteAMEN
ReplyDeleteTheologan... not sure what that word means. Is that a God Logan or a Logan God? ;-) Just kidding Brother. In all seriousness though, a theologian can be simply defined as "a person who engages in theology". Theology can be defined as "the study of God". I'd say, therefore, any person serious about studying the Bible (despite how many years) is a theologian. This puts a 60 year pastor, a 12 year preacher such as myself, and a 1 day old Christian who is studying the Bible all theologians.
ReplyDeleteAfter all, I've heard newly saved laymen, as we call them, or even small children, say things or ask things that teach me about God. The age, or time of study, is not the important thing. It is the validity or truth of a statement when compared with the Bible.

Do you insinuate I deviate from unvarnished authentic exactitude immediately upon my profession of my parturition in the United Kingdom and nascent adolescence in Louisiana, or was this an implication of prevarication concerning the affirmation of my current residence?
ReplyDeleteOk let me get the ol dictionary and Ill be back in 3 hours to reply to Brother James's last comment. LOL
ReplyDeleteSince brother Micah suggested I'm a far cry from earth, I was just asking if he was suggesting that I lied about being born here, or about currently living in AR. I had to speak in his tongue though. It's the gift of tongues God gave me. LoL.
ReplyDeleteIn high school, we used the phrase "Do you have the audacity to doubt my veracity and insinuate that I prevaricate the utter exactitude?" It was just a joke in our group. That's what gave me the idea to reply to Brother Micah's comment like I did... the same way he's posted a few things. Of course he knows there is no foul play or harm intended.
ReplyDeleteThese recent comments are a long, far cry from what Brother Grappe intended for this post.
ReplyDeleteDUH!
